Dana Ann Carter Jones

Dana Ann Carter Jones, 46, of Taylors, SC. went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of John Luther Carter and Shiela Diann Burris Carter. Dana had a heart for helping others; whether that was through her time working in insurance, aiding in vacation planning, or offering a hand to family in need. She was always kind and made everyone in the room feel welcomed. She loved spending time with family and friends, making her famous mac and cheese, and planning trips to the most magical place on earth, Walt Disney World. Dana believed that laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever. She was brave like Merida, gentle like Snow White, smart like Belle, optimistic like Cinderella, and sweet like Nala. For Dana, the best part of Disney World was being there with her family where dreams and wishes come true. Even though Disney movies were her favorite, Dana also enjoyed watching home improvement and cooking shows. Some of her favorites included ‘Love it or List it’ and ‘Chopped’. She often curled up on the couch to watch tv with her granddog, Waylon; who affectionately knew Dana as “Mimi”. Dana enjoyed and made the most out of every second. Dana’s lighthearted nature led to many impromptu day trips to various estate sales and car karaoke sessions, Apple Bottom Jeans included. Being around Dana was to be in constant sunshine, there were rarely any moments she wasn’t smiling or laughing. She was a constant reminder of how good life truly is. Dana is survived by her beloved husband Brent Jones, daughter Kelsey Jones and son Bennett Jones of Taylors, SC; her beloved brother Austin Ray Carter and wife Rosailin of Simpsonville, SC; and brother Jonathan Luther Carter of Taylors, SC; dear sister-in-law Kelly Roseberry and husband Chris Roseberry of Greenville, SC; beloved nieces and nephews Tyler Roseberry, Hunter Carter, Nate Carter, Svetlana Roseberry, Ethan Carter, Andrew Carter, and Lily Ann Carter. Dana was predeceased by Papa John, Grandma Diann, Meem, and Mama. Graveside Services will be held Friday, November 5th, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1901 Wade Hamptpon Blvd, Greenville, SC 29609
