Linda Dale Hunter

Linda Dale Hunter, 77 of 19 Melodyaire ct Travelers Rest South Carolina ran into the arms of Jesus on April 7 2019 after a fifteen day battle against her illness. She was surrounded by her family at her bedside as she peacefully took her last breath at 10:57 AM. Linda whom many know respectfully as “Naney” was one of the kindest souls to ever grace this world. Anyone who have the privilege of meeting her would confirm this statement. Born in Pickens, County South Carolina as the eldest child of James Lawrence and Jessie Sue Byers Brown on October 8, 1941, and resided at 200 Jasmine Drive in Greenville for the biggest portion of her life. She was a blessing to all she knew. She could best be described as selfless, caring, angel on earth and a beautiful soul who gave of herself, her entire life, to care for those around her. Linda was preceded in passing by her parents James Lawrence and Jessie Sue Byers Brown, her two late husbands Bobby Lee Miller and Jackie Hunter, two siblings, Vivian Maxine Brown and James Gary Brown, her oldest son Bobby Lee Miller Jr and her great great grandson, Lucca Wilkins. She was survived by a large family including: Two younger sisters; Carolyn Diane Baker and Janice Brown and her husband Mark William Allendorf. Her children; Rita Dale Salmon, Terry O’dell Miller, Frank James Miller, and Tammy Darlene and her husband Richard Wayne Barber. Her grandchildren; Rose and husband Josh Funk, Jennifer and husband Shannon Dawson, Crystal Colina, Linda and husband Christopher Lashley, Kari and husband Kurt Klaus, Cassi Barber, Shanda Miller, Brandon Hammett, and Cheyenne Barber. Her great grandchildren; Madeline Miller, Dylan Jones, Trinity and husband Ralph Burns, Kaitlyn and husband Josh Wilkins, Dalton Shupe, Lundhyn Shupe, Alleigh Dawson, Carmen Dawson, Sheena Dawson, Hope Dawson, Everly Dawson, Kalab Lashley, K’don Lashley, Kyson Lashley, Elora Klaus, Shaleigh Taylor, Deztanie Taylor, and CJ James. Her great great grandchildren; Kingston Burns and Princess Burns. Her nieces Hope Padgett, and Kalen and husband Paul Huck. Her nephews Tim Brown, and Greg Brown. A great niece Melissa Padgett, and a great nephew Trace Huck. Visitation will be Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 11am to 1:00pm with Funeral service at 1:00 PM in the Chapel. Burial will take place at Graceland West Cemetery on White Horse road, Greenville, immediately following service. The family requests if you are able to wear blue in honor of “Naney” as it was her favorite color and will help us celebrate her life and oh so amazing legacy.
